Marco Giorgi is a Kansan living in Wichita. He is a retired Sailor. He served 30 years in the US Navy as an enlisted electronics technician then was commissioned and designated as a naval flight officer. During his career he participated in combat operations in the skies over Kosovo, Iraq, and Afghanistan. He served as the E-2C Hawkeye Weapons School Director and E-2 Hawkeye, C-2 Greyhound community operations officer. Marco holds a bachelor of science in electronics, a master of military operational art and science, and is a graduate of the Navy’s TOPGUN controller course.

He is married to Barbara, also a former Sailor. They met on active duty and married in 1990. After marriage, they both attended college while on active duty. Marco was commissioned in 1994 and went to flight school. Barbara left the Navy and became a stay at home mom.

They have two children, both graduates of Wichita public schools. Shaffawn is a WATC graduate and nurse. Uri is attending WSU, majoring in business. Marco’s daughter Christina lives and works in Northern Virginia.
